Dr. Christian Sturm is Professor of Human Factors and Usability Engineering at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Furtwangen University and his PhD in cognitive science, cultural anthropology, and telematics from the University of Freiburg, Germany. With extensive experience in academia and industry in Germany, Mexico, Spain, and Egypt, he has also taught computer science in China. His research focuses on the educational and cross-cultural aspects of human-computer interaction, combined with entrepreneurial thinking. He also actively trains students for design competitions in Latin America, Africa, India, and Europe, and got a Special Recognition in 2025 from SIGCHI for this activity.
