Most international visitors require a visa to enter Egypt. Check your eligibility for an e-Visa or visa on arrival on the Egyptian Government’s official portal official Egyptian e-Visa website or call the Egyptian embassy or consulate in your country.
Invitation letters
To obtain an invitation letter from the conference. You need to complete the registration process first and email the registration chair the following information.
Cairo International Airport (CAI): The primary international gateway, located about 20–30 km from central Cairo.
From Airport to City Center
Airport Taxis and Ride-hailing: Taxis are readily available. Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Careem offer a reliable and often more transparent fare structure.
Transportation Apps
Cairo’s three-line metro system is the fastest and most efficient way to navigate the city, with frequent trains and affordable fares (including dedicated cars for women). Trains run until 1:00 AM
Cover the entire city and operate day and night, including late-night services.
CairoBike offers rental bikes across multiple downtown locations.
Widely available, including traditional black-and-white cabs and modern ride-hailing services.
Tip: Avoid driving if you’re unfamiliar with Cairo’s traffic, which can be intense during rush hours. Walking is enjoyable in areas like Zamalek and Downtown.
Cairo offers a wide range of accommodation options for every budget, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly hostels and serviced apartments near the city center. For personalized rates, early booking is recommended due to high demand during conference periods.
Conference location
Since November is a high season, we are trying to negotiate deals with hotels near the conference venue. Please monitor this space for updated information. We recommend staying in places no more than 30 mins ride to the conference venue.
National dish – a mix of rice, lentils, pasta, chickpeas, tomato sauce, crispy onions
Stewed fava beans, usually served for breakfast
Marinated meat, slow-cooked and served in wraps
Spicy minced meat in a crispy bread pocket
Vegetarian and halal options are widely available in Cairo’s restaurants and food courts or use Apps like Talabat
